STOP BUYING CHEAP PAINT PROTECTION FILM. YOU WILL ALWAYS LOSE.

Why Cheap Paint Protection Film Is Never Good Paint Protection Film

While I usually avoid commenting on poor paint protection film (PPF) jobs, but the workmanship on this one is absolutely egregious. It’s easily one of the worst installs I’ve ever seen. Unsurprisingly, it was done by a “well-established” (see long operating, not GOOD) local competitor who has been in the business for over a decade. I can’t help but wonder if they were once known for their expertise. Regardless, with visible cut marks scattered all over – this is what I would like to call totally “F**KED”!

Interestingly, the owner of this vehicle initially sought out a quote from us but decided to go with the competing shop, which offered a mere $200 lower price. Unfortunately, this is a disgusting result. The client has already taken the car back to the shop three times, only to be fed different excuses each time. It’s inexcusable.

Personally, I felt sick as I put eyes on this disaster. Even from a distance, I could spot the issues when the car pulled into the shop. I assure you, I am not exaggerating in the least. This is hands down one of the most horrendous PPF applications I’ve ever encountered.

Not a single edge has been wrapped. Every corner and edge is peeling, with unsightly fingers and bubbles ruining the film. What’s worse, remnants of previous adhesive removal were left behind. Stretch marks, tack marks, misalignments, cut marks, and poor film alignment—this hellish installation checks every box.

Please, I beg you all to learn from this and carefully choose a reputable shop when opting for paint protection film on your vehicle. Take the time to research, read reviews, visit websites, and engage in conversations with the shop.

If you base your decision solely on price when shopping for paint protection film, you’ll inevitably end up on the losing side, like this poor sap. The risk of getting a shoddy job like the one shown here is significantly higher. I beg you to please take this advice and work a shop that will prioritize your needs and stand behind its work.
