Search ceramic coating cost and you get "call for a quote" and prices that are hundreds apart for what sounds like the same thing. We do it differently: our package pricing is published by vehicle size on the pricing page. This page explains the spread, so whichever shop you pick, you know exactly what you're paying for.
"Ceramic coating" has no legal definition, so a twenty-minute spray sealant and a multi-day correction-and-coating job get sold under the same two words. That's the whole reason the prices confuse people.
Guess wrong and it stings twice. Pay the low number and the "coating" quietly stops beading by fall, with your swirls sealed underneath it. Then the real job costs extra later, because the failed layer has to be machine polished off before anyone can start over.
The fix isn't a bigger budget. It's knowing what moves the number, which takes about two minutes to learn.
A full-size truck has nearly twice the paint of a coupe. More panels, more hours, more product. It's why our pricing is published by size bracket.
Swirled, etched, or neglected paint needs more correction before coating. The coating locks in whatever's underneath, so the surface has to earn it first.
One-step enhancement or multi-stage correction. This is where most of the hours live, and it's the real difference between package tiers.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
Deep wash, iron and tar removers, clay bar. Pulls out the bonded grime a wash can't touch, and strips old wax so the coating bonds to clearcoat.
One stage or several, under inspection lighting. Most of the hours, and most of the price, live right here.
A dedicated solvent removes polishing oils. Skip this and the coating bonds to residue instead of paint.
The famous part is the last hour of a multi-day job. Applied, leveled, and checked one panel at a time.
Real correction and real coating work take real hours. When the price says otherwise, one of these is usually why.
Then it's a spray sealant wearing the coating name. It beads for a few months and quietly disappears.
Real prep, correction, and cure take days. Same-day service is quoting the last hour of the job.
A four-figure "ceramic package" applied while you sign paperwork is the same twenty-minute sealant with better lighting.
The coating seals in whatever's under it. A quote that skips prep is a quote to laminate your swirls.
A quality coating performing for five years, washed right, costs less per year than a bargain job redone every two. It beats a six-week wax habit walking away. That's the honest defense of not being the cheapest quote you'll get: the price covers the hours that make the years real. And when the smaller package is all your paint needs, we'll say so. Talking you out of the bigger ticket is cheaper than earning back trust.
Weighing chip protection too? The honest breakdown is in the film vs coating comparison.
Our pricing page lists every ceramic package by vehicle size, from the same system we quote from at the counter. Find your size bracket, pick the tier, and that's your number. The 3, 5, and 7 year manufacturer warranties that come with each tier are explained in plain English on the warranty page.
Not sure what condition your paint is in? Swing by the shop in Stowe, five minutes from downtown Pottstown. We'll look at the car under proper lighting and tell you which tier your paint actually needs. Everything else we do is on the services page.
