Paint Protection · Allentown, PA

    Keep city miles
    off your paint.

Patched streets, construction stone, and a lot of time sitting behind somebody's rear tires. We spray a clear protective film over your paint so all of that lands on the film instead of your finish.

    Where it comes from

It is rarely one big hit.

Most paint does not get ruined in a moment. It gets sanded down over a few hundred small ones, and by the time you notice, the fix is a respray rather than a polish.

    Patched asphalt

Allentown streets get cut open and patched year after year. Loose stone sits at every seam, and the car in front of you flicks it straight at your bumper.

    Stop and go on 22

Crawling traffic puts your nose a few feet behind someone's rear tires for miles. That is the position that throws grit at your paint, and rush hour holds you there.

    Tight parking

Downtown decks and street parking mean door edges and bumper corners take hits that have nothing to do with driving. A coating will not stop a careless door, but it takes the light stuff.

    What stops it

    A layer that takes
    the hits for you.

What goes on is a clear film, 8 to 12 mil thick, sprayed in a downdraft paint booth rather than cut from a roll. It cures into one continuous layer across the panel.

Because nothing was cut, there is no edge at the panel gaps to collect grime and start lifting. Because it bonds mechanically instead of with adhesive, nothing is glued to your clearcoat.

Light marring sands and buffs back the way paint does, and years later the whole thing peels off in sheets with your factory paint untouched underneath.

    Frequently asked questions.

    What does paint protection cost?

Three things move it. How much of the car you cover, how much correction the paint needs first, and how complex the panels are. A front end sits well below a full car. Our pricing is published so you can see the range before you call.

Where are you, coming from Allentown?

About 35 miles south, roughly 45 minutes down Route 100 or 309. We are at 449 B Old Reading Pike, Stowe, PA 19464. The car comes once and stays a few days, so it is one trip and not a weekly commute.

Can you fix chips that are already there?

We correct what we can before anything goes over it, because whatever is on the paint gets sealed underneath. Deeper chips that reach primer are a bodywork question, and we have a collision shop under the same roof to answer it honestly.

Is this the same as a clear bra?

Same job, different application. A clear bra is cut from a roll and stuck down with adhesive. Ours is sprayed in a paint booth and cures into one continuous film, so there is no seam across your hood and no glue on your clearcoat.

Do you cover Bethlehem, Easton and Emmaus?

Yes. The whole Lehigh Valley is the same trip for us and those cars are a regular part of the week.
