Those fine circles you see under a parking lot light are not road damage. They came from brushes and dirty cloth. We correct them out, then put a clear layer over the paint so the next round lands on that.
The car sits in an open lot all day, picks up dust and film, and looks dull by Thursday. So it goes through a wash. That is the reasonable thing to do and it is also the thing causing the damage.
Every pass drags whatever the last car left behind across your clearcoat. One wash does nothing you can see. Two years of weekly washes puts a haze on the paint that no amount of washing will ever take back out.
It shows worst on dark colors and under exactly the kind of overhead lighting a garage or a lot has. Which is where you see your own car most.
Plan on the car being with us a few days. Correction, masking, spraying, curing, wet sanding and polishing each take real time, and correction on a car that has been through a lot of washes takes longer than on one that has not.
