    Paint Protection · Reading, PA

    Stop rock chips
    before they reach paint.

Same road, twice a day, five days a week. Truck traffic, construction zones, and whatever the car ahead kicks loose. We put a clear film over your paint so the road stops reaching it.

    Before

    Three years of commuting.

Nothing dramatic happens. You never hit anything. But at year three the bumper has a scatter of white specks, the hood edge is peppered, and the lower doors have gone dull from grit off your own front tires.

In direct sun it is obvious. On a trade-in appraisal it is a line item. And the honest fix is a respray with a blend into the neighboring panels, which puts paintwork on a car that never had any.

    After

    Three years, protected.

Same commute, same road, same weather. The difference is that all of it landed on a clear layer sitting over your paint rather than on the paint itself.

When you sell, the layer peels off in sheets and the factory paint underneath is the paint you bought. No blend lines, no paint gauge conversation, no explaining anything to a buyer.

    The bridge

    Sprayed on, not cut on.

It goes on as a liquid in a downdraft paint booth and cures into one continuous film, 8 to 12 mil thick. Nothing is cut, so there is no seam across your hood. Nothing is glued, so there is no adhesive baking onto your clearcoat and no ugly job on the day it comes off.

A color change rather than a clear job, because it shows the coverage clearly. The process is the same one your car goes through.

    Frequently asked questions.

    What does paint protection cost?

It depends on how much of the car you cover, how much correction the paint needs first, and how complex the panels are. A front end sits well below a full car. Our pricing is published so you can see the range before you call.

How far is the shop from Reading?

About 20 miles east, straight down 422. We are at 449 B Old Reading Pike, Stowe, PA 19464. For most Reading customers this is a shorter trip than their daily commute.

My car already has chips. Is it too late?

No, but be realistic about what protection does. It stops new damage. It does not undo old damage. We correct what will correct, tell you plainly what will not, and then protect what is there so it stops getting worse.

Does it change how the paint looks?

It gets wet sanded and polished after it cures, the same as fresh clear coat, so it reads as depth rather than as a layer. If you want it to look different, it comes in over 274 colors in gloss, satin, or matte.

Do you cover Wyomissing, Exeter and Birdsboro?

Yes. Berks County cars come down 422 regularly and it is the same trip for us.
